I still remember that time when Michelle Phan made a video about how to DIY your rice water facemask toner. Oh, the good ole’ days. So when I saw this in my ebay voyages I knew I had to try it. Is it worth the penny? Read more to find out.
I love sheet masks in general. They are such a nice way to detox and pamper your skin: like your own mini spa at home. Granted, they are very moist (kudos for those of you who didn’t cringe at the word) and you look like a ghost while wearing them, but it feels so relaxing to indulge from time to time. Did you know that Asian women do a sheet mask treatment at least once a day? And their skin is so so pretty. #skinGoals
Also, Tony Moly is a Korean brand famous for its products. And you know how much I love Korean skincare.
Coming back to the actual review, this face mask smells amazing. The mask is quite watery but feels good. And the actual essence does look like rice water- a transparent albeit a bit muddy white. Can’t really tell if I saw a change in my skin though. Maybe it was a bit brighter, but nothing more. Still, since I didn’t have high expectations, it did it’s main point which was to relax me and provide some well needed nutrients.
What facemasks did you try and love? What is your favorite?
